300 People In Nmemmeete Electoral Area Undergo HIV/AIDS And Health Screening.

About 300 people in the Nmemmeete electoral area in Accra have undergone HIV/AIDS and health screening.
The programme which was organized by change Youth Organisation, which is a Non Governmental Organisation (NGO) was on the theme: “They have the right to live”.
Speaking at the function, Mr Muhammed Ali Alfah, Chief Executive Officer of Change Youth Organisation cautioned the youth in the area to be circumspect in the use of sharp instruments like blades and knives since the HIV/AIDS diseases could be contracted through them.
He also stressed that, HIV/AIDS is real and therefore, should desist from early and unwanted sex and should let education be their main focus in life.
Mr Alfar later stated that, the aim of the organization is combating stigmatization, support, prevention and increase availability of treatment, cave and support for those infected and affected by the disease.
Ms Jean Amerley Oku, the Assembly woman for the area said the initiative is very good and urged other institution to come out with such to fight against HIV/AIDS and other diseases in the country.
Ms Betty Aryeequaye, Senior Nursery Officer at the Mamprobi Polyclinic said, the respond for the screening encouraging and urged all the people to know their status
